How big is the database ? How much downtime can you afford ? One option is to use export/import
10gR2 is also desupported - there is little sense in upgrading from one desupported version to another - is there a reason you cannot upgrade to 11gR2 ?
My DB size is 20GB approx.
Weekends downtime is acceptable.
There is no reason for going to 11g.
Please let me know is there any other option other than exp/imp.
I would suggest to upgrade it to 11g instead of 10g.
And for doing upgrade also since the database is pretty much small plus can afford downtime Exp/Imp might be the good option
There is every reason to upgrade to 11gR2 rather than 10gR2, which is de-supported.1 person found this helpful
As noted, 20G is insignificant and exp/imp is likely the easiest and fastest method - you will need to perform test upgrades to verify
