    Connecting to JVM

    765321
      Hi,

      I am new to Java Debugging. I have read in brief about Java Debug Architecture and Interfaces.
      I want to monitor my running application just like eclipse debugger. How do I find out the address and port of running JVM?

      Thanks in advance.

          The address is localhost if it is running on your workstation
          and the port number is whatever you specify when you launch Java;
          set OPTIONS=-Xdebug -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,address=8000,server=y,suspend=n
          java.exe %OPTIONS% my.java.Main
