Hi,

I completed 11gr2 GI install for 2 node cluster successfully (I have not installed the RAC database so far). In order to verify the GI cluster installation i executed the below command and saw one disk group (ora.DATA.dg) was offline in one node (node1). Also i can see ora.registry.acfs is offline on the second node (node2)

C:\Users\administrator>crsctl stat res -t

==> the cluster and asm status is given below.

C:\Users\administrator>crsctl check cluster -all
**************************************************************
node1:
CRS-4537: Cluster Ready Services is online
CRS-4529: Cluster Synchronization Services is online
CRS-4533: Event Manager is online
**************************************************************
node2:
CRS-4537: Cluster Ready Services is online
CRS-4529: Cluster Synchronization Services is online
CRS-4533: Event Manager is online
**************************************************************

C:\Users\administrator>srvctl status asm
ASM is running on node2,node1

===> ASM instance status and diskgroup status is given below.

SQL> select status from v$instance;

STATUS
------------
STARTED

SQL> select state,type,offline_disks from v$asm_diskgroup;

STATE TYPE OFFLINE_DISKS
----------- ------ -------------
MOUNTED EXTERN 0

Can someone explain why there is a difference in the diskgroup status when using crsctl and v$asm_diskgroup ?

Thanks,
