As strange as this sounds, I've found that if I choose the option to manage the client without an agent, it works. Then I go into the OS asset in the asset tab, and in the actions menu, there is an option to Switch Management Access. This then goes out and install and successfully configures the agent. I guess somehow setting up the SSH stream of information magically allows it to see the proxy interface it couldn't before.
Try that and see if it works for you.
Thanks, tried as suggested and it worked for me. I was however not able to do a manual installation of the agent software but had to go through the EC with these two steps. First agentless, then enabling the agent.
I lodged a ticket with oracle support about this and they finally came back saying it's a bug (7200811) and that a workaround is to edit /var/opt/sun/xvm/persistence/scn-proxy/allowInterfaces on each on your proxy and add a list of proxy IP addresses, one per line. This did fix the issue for me.
I'm dealing with this same issue. Has it been resolved yet?
