    Help Sintaxis crontab

      Hi all,

      I'm trying to upload a file with crontab cron for my job to run every 5 minutes and crontab generates syntax error.

      This is my cron:

      */5 * * * * /usr/bin/ksh /app/svs/shells/ChecaEstatus.sh "VAL"

      And these are the errors when loading.

      */5 * * * * /usr/bin/ksh /app/svs/shells/ChecaEstatus.sh "VAL"
      crontab: error on previous line; unexpected character found in line.
      crontab: errors detected in input, no crontab file generated.

      Someone could help me.

      That thing happens now with Solaris 10?

          Hello, user13525165 ,
          This problem is quite usual. Sometimes that happens when you use the code for Linux on Solaris. The problem is that in Solaris you have to use V7 format ( quite complicated, but you have to do that...). You need to change the part whis:

          +5 * * * *+

          on this:

          +0,5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45,50,55 * * * *+

          So it is just a syntax error.
          If you have any questions, ask.
