Hi Guru, I am currently installing 11gR2 (220.127.116.11) clusterware Grid onto Linux readhat 4, and encounter the error INS-41310 more than one Oracle Cluster Registry is in the same partition at the OCR Storage Option page, when chose Normal Redundancy option (please note, at previous page, I chose Shared File System on the storage option). any advice on it? Or What check need to be done to ensure the storage is suitable for OCR files? Btw, I have not installed OCFS2 software onto the server yet, you think that is the cause?
What did you put as the OCR storage?
If you for example put something like
The installer will consider it as same partition /ocr although it might be different partition location. Try create the ocr disk like below
Hope it helps
i figure out 3 dirs are on 3 different partitions/volume (this vm not regular machine) (at least from appeared like) as following for OCR file location,
Since when I do df -k, above 3 dirs looking like are on 3 different volumes, but I am still getting the same error as INS-41310 More than one Oracle Cluster Registry is on the same partition
And also, actually ocsf2 package is installed, but somehow the check ocsf2 command is not finding it, which is really odd is as following
modinfor: could not find module ocsf2
but the package is installed as following
it is an error, even I clicked okay, it kicked me back to the page, not allow me going forward... I am dying to get to next page, even my colleague said you can go forward, but somehow I am not be able to go forward though without fixing this error
maybe this is because of wrong ownerships of the CRS directories. Change them like this:
chown -R <gi_user>:<group> <your path to crs>
After that you get a window with a Yes,No and Details Button so that you are able to acknowledge this warning.
