    Schedule a job

    735680
      Hi,

      OS:Windows Server 2008

      Database:Oracle 11gR2

      I want to schedue a procedure in oracle and not from the Tash scheduler utility.Is there any way to schedule the procedure at database level.

      I want to run the procedure daily at specific time.

      Regards,
      Bobby

            create and schedule a job using DBMS_SCHEDULER.CREATE_JOB

            BEGIN
            DBMS_SCHEDULER.CREATE_JOB (
            job_name => 'job name',
            job_type => 'STORED_PROCEDURE',
            job_action => 'your procedure name',
            start_date => '28-APR-08 07.00.00 PM Australia/Sydney',
            repeat_interval => 'FREQ=DAILY;INTERVAL=2', /* every other day */
            end_date => '20-NOV-08 07.00.00 PM Australia/Sydney',
            comments => 'My new job');
            END;
            /
