/etc/mtab contains a table of devices mounted by the mount command. Umount removes entries.
You can read it in the mtab(5) man page.

Does I only do not have the man page for mtab or does I have to entry additional information
Sorry I did not check if the mtab man page actually exists in Linux. /etc/mtab is mentioned at several locations in "man mount". For instance, you can use "mount -n" to mount a filesystem without modifying /etc/mtab, or replace /etc/mtab with a symbolic link to /proc/mounts.
