We upgraded our Oracle EBS 11.5.10/9iR2 on Windows 2003 (2 Node - Apps Tier and DB Tier) to 188.8.131.52/11gR2 last year. Since then Cloning to Test/Dev env has become an issue and every time we face some issue and we will do some work around. We created SR and it didn't help.
Yesterday I did a fresh clone (database restored using RMAN). After restoring the database I created the DB Tier context file. DB Tier AutoConfig is failing with while running adcrobj.cmd & adcrobj.sql
I noticed the issue in adcrobj.cmd is with the line: sqlplus /nolog @d:\prod\proddb\11.2.0/appsutil/install/PROD_ebsdbsv/adcrobj.sql %user%
and the issue with adcrobj.sql is with the line:
When I run adcrobj.cmd manually it fails with Insufficient privileges connecting to Oracle Database using / as sysdba. I tried few things but finally manually run the following commands:
CREATE OR REPLACE DIRECTORY APPS_DATA_FILE_DIR AS 'd:\prod\proddb\11.2.0\appsutil\outbound\PROD_ebsdbsvr';
CREATE OR REPLACE DIRECTORY ECX_UTL_LOG_DIR_OBJ AS 'c:\temp';
CREATE OR REPLACE DIRECTORY ECX_UTL_XSLT_DIR_OBJ AS 'c:\temp';
Please let me know if this is a bug and if there is a permanent solution.
I find that when I log in to the Windows Server and open a command prompt and after I set the DB tier env using the SID_Host.cmd I am not log able to login to Sql*Plus using / as sysdba. But without setting the DB Tier env I am able to login using / as sysdba. The issue is caused by the env variable LOCAL=<SID>. I am still trying to find out why this is happening only on one server.
Can you please check if you are able to connect to database as below
sqlplus apps/<pass>@SID if no then problem is with your listener. When you are trying to connect to database without giving SID it is not taking listener path and it is allowing you to connect as you are trying to connect from same server where database is running.
