I am new to EDQ, so bear with me. Currently using the latest version of EDQ, With Oracle Database 11g.
so what i am trying to do is write a process where it can filter the data by a passed in ID.
More details on this ... my client is using APEX. The ID will be passed in by Apex and then my process will filter and check the for business rules for that ID.
My first steps are:
Created a proejct -> created a data source -> then created a new snapshot (staged data) for the table. In the filter options section where it says "simple" or "advanced" how can I say "the passed in ID from apex". Can i do something like this ??
It sounds like you need to use an externalized property - see the topic "Externalizing Processor Options" in the online help. You can use an "Add String" processor to hold the ID value [and externalize this property] then filter your data using a "Value Check" processor. The value should then be set in a job parameter override when it is called by Apex.
[Note: if you want to skip processing all of the data in the first place you could even externalize the snapshot WHERE-clause to restrict the data at the point of import; but I prefer the former option]
