Have had an odd error a couple of time over the last 2 months on upd/commit.
Looks like the error stack is:
|--> !Something goes wrong!
|--->ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [xspggepGenErase04: No AW generations],
|---> ERROR: (ORA-34738) A severe problem has been detected. Analytic workspace operations have been disabled.
|----> OLAP OOPS encountered, disabling UPDATEs to AWs
All is okay again after session restart even if i re-run the entire dml redo including the commit.
Can't find anything similar on metalink and its annoying as I can't replicate on demand. Anyone encountered this before?
DB 220.127.116.11, Redhat 5.6
Was the AW created in 18.104.22.168 or was it created in an earlier release (e.g. 22.214.171.124) before you upgraded the database version? This kind of error used to happen in 126.96.36.199 and before, and the problem can linger in AWs created in the older release.
My best advice is to open a service request on this. You can mention my name in the SR if you like and it should get forwarded to me.
Thanks - SR logged by one of my colleagues.
All AWs were created via DBMS_AW.EXECUTE('aw create aw_name') on 188.8.131.52 although data has been imported into those via eif from oes.
