Will 11G XE work on a 64 bid windows machine.

I would like to down load and install 11g XE beta but I do not know if it will install and run on my 64 bid Windows machine.

I had trouble with the 10 G XE trying to down load it on 64 bits.

If I cannot use it on 64 bits could I make it work if I down load Unbuntu Linux?

          Hello,
I would like to down load and install 11g XE beta but I do not know if it will install and run on my 64 bid Windows machine.
Why (and how) would you install the "beta"? 11g XE "final" has been released more than a year ago and even if you still find a beta download somewhere, license terms would forbid to use it anymore...
As you probably found out, there is no Windows 64 installer and the Windows installation requirements don't list 64bit Windows as supported. If you use the forum search, you'll find tons of posts on that issue, especially on possible issues when using the 32bit Windows installer on 64bit Windows, and how other people worked around them.
If I cannot use it on 64 bits could I make it work if I down load Unbuntu Linux?
There is a 64bit Linux installer, but Ubuntu is not on the list of supported Linux flavors. There exists a great tutorial for this scenario, though: {thread:id=2301639}. Note that later Ubuntu versions may require additional/different steps.

In general, see {thread:id=2278170} for details on all OSes.
