what would be your recommendations for situation like this as it was a test database
Dataguard is configured on production database
But to avoid such a loss what shall i do on my part to avoid situation like this at production database ??Review what you have to do to recover. With modern DG, you can fail over to the standby, fix the prod, and fail back. You need to make a test system configured similarly to test this and be sure you have your configuration and procedures down cold. Theoretically you should have a service level agreement that says explicitly what disasters you are expected to deal with.
