Refer this http://surachartopun.com/2009/12/how-to-register-asm-diskgroup-in-grid.html
SQL> select name from v$asm_diskgroup;
SQL> alter diskgroup DATA4 mount;
# srvctl status diskgroup -g DATA4
PRCA-1000 : ASM Disk Group DATA4 does not exist
PRCR-1001 : Resource ora.DATA4.dg does not exist
# crsctl stat res | grep DATA
So no DATA4.
How about trying this
srvctl modify database -d <database-name> -a "DISKGROUP_1,DISKGROUP_2,DISKGROUP_3,DISKGROUP_4"
I don't have any database registered but I have 2 databases which are started by separate resource groups type cluster_resourece
I fixed the problem.
This was in log:
Register Resource Opora.DATA4.dg] has failed:CRS-2566: User 'grid' does not have sufficient permissions to operate on resource 'app.ip', which is part of the dependency specification.
Don't know why grid must have permission on this resource but after I gave grid permission to this resource all works fine.
Thanks for your support.
Always read the log file.
Curious. You are not using srvctl to manage the databases? How are you managing the databases using the Clusterware cluster_resource type?
Hi, I just added a resource which run a script and from that script I can start/stop the database using sqlplus commands.
