Hello may you con help me,

I try to install a oracle basic client with sqlplus, on a Ubuntu 10.04 LTS running on sparc sunfire v250 (sparcv9 , sun4u, 64 bits, SUNW,UltraSPARC-IIIi ), the problem is that I dont know what client install.

I try whith this clients -->
Instant Client for Linux x86-64
Instant Client for Solaris Operating System (SPARC) (64-bit)
Instant Client for Solaris x86-64
but the result is allways same "-su: ./sqlplus: No such file or directory"

I think may I need another libraries to run the oracle client.

Pl provide a link to the files that you downloaded. Have you followed all of the installation steps ? http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e16604/apd.htm#SQPUG157

From just a quick look at your post it would seem you have "Linux on SPARC". That platform does not exist in terms of Instant Client (or any Oracle Database product, probably).

So, yes, you are correct in that other libraries is needed. But such libraries does not exist. Change platform.
