We have 10.3.6 WLS installed on linux 64-bit.
We just found out that we need Node Manager to support a couple of instances.
Manuals talk quite a bit about Windows Service Node mananger.
But we couldnt find notes on where to install node manager on Linux platform.
We also look in Node manger's admin guide and WLS installation - no descrptive about node manager installation for linux.
How do we do it or what manuals are we missing ? Where can we find them ?
You will get already installed Nodemanager in your Weblogic installation.
Well to run any instance in background we use windows services in Windows but we dont required any services in Unix base OS we can use nohoup option to run any server instance in background.
Secondly you will find Nodemanager to start @ %Middleware_Home%/ Wlserver_10.3 /server / bin
a startup will be there says startNodeManager.sh file.
you and use that option to start them.
For this Nodemanager properties you will find them under %WLS_Home / common/ nodemenager/
Check your nodemanager.properties file once before you start your nodemanager instance.
by default its port would be 5556 and runs on ssl mode.
if you need any further things on Nodemanager please check for Nodemanager document from Oracle weblogic server.
