I have installed DB11gR1 on my server. Then I use apxconf.sql to config application express. after configure,I try to login to application express by
http://hostname:8080/apex/apex_admin,but it prompts messages like Not found
The requested URL /apex/apex_admin/f was not found on this server.
But http://hostname:8080/apex/ can display. For I haven't created a workspace,I cannot login to application express.
I don't know why.
Thanks very much.
What you see when displayed http://hostname:8080/apex/ ?
I there appear Workspace, Username, Password and you want to login as Apex administrator yo need to introduce :
Workspace - Internal
Username - admin
Password - admin or another password for apex_public_user.
I just got the same problem.
I installed Oracle XE from scratch, installed the latest APEX version, everything went normal during install.
No I can connect to /apex but not to /apex/apex_admin
I just followed the directions in this post, but didn't got the result....
I even Updated the APEX_PUBLIC_USER account password, but with the
Password: (the password I just created for APEX_PUBLIC_USER)
doesn't work.... still invalid credentials///
Can you guy's please help me?
Hello Ome B (aka DP),
You can use the script apxchpwd.sql to change the password for the admin user. That password is not the same as the pw for APEX_PUBLIC_USER (as the last one is an Oracle database account and ADMIN is not...).
How did this help you access the apex internal workspace?
I'm stuck at the same part. - Trying to create a new application and need to know the admin password for the Internal workspace so as to create a development workspace.
I've tried everything. I can't run apxchpwd.sql as my RDS created user doesn't have permissions (Unauthorised access after I type in the new password)
How did you get it working?
Incase anyone has the same problem. The solution was to run this from sqldeveloper (I didnt have SQLPLUS installed):
Log in to SQL Developer with my AmAZON RDS MASTER username I setup when I created my instance.
grant APEX_ADMINISTRATOR_ROLE to master;
Then I could log on to the INTERNAL workspace as the admin user.
Finally up and running with Apex 4.1.1 on Amazon RDS running Apex Listener 2
Now for some XMLDB fun.
