Everything works fine up to to the point I run sys-uncofig.I suggest you provide more details.
Once I run that, I can't persuade my VM to boot up again.
Is sys-unconfig still supported, is it broken, or what?I doubt it was installed by default if it wasn't supported. For what it's worth, the sys-unconfig utility works fine here with Oracle Linux 6.3 and VirtualBox 4.2.
Thanks for the reply.
See my original post, after running sys-unconfig and rebooting, the system hangs while loading the services (the networking appears to start fine).
I don't know the best way to troubleshoot this (apart from reverting to a snapshot).
A colleague has seen the same problem (different VM) with OL 6.3 and Vbox 4.2.
I would try to do a verbose startup to see if there are any clues.
You can edit the kernel parameters at the Grub boot menu. Remove the "rhgb quiet" from the kernel parameter line, boot the system and watch the screen.
