you can use awr and addm report to understand database growth
and you can have a look at this doc help you

For completed database capacity planning you have to look into different Areas of database.
for checking the growth of Database per Month you can use this script.
select to_char(creation_time, 'RRRR Month') "Month",
sum(bytes)/1024/1024 "Growth in MM",
sum(bytes)/1024/1024/1024 "Growth in GB"
where creation_time > SYSDATE-365
group by to_char(creation_time, 'RRRR Month');
it displays the growth of the database month & years wise in Mega bytes & Giga Bytes also.
for checking the growth of Database per Month you can use this script.That would show the current size of the datafiles by the month they were added.
It doesn't show the growth in database objects.
It doesn't take into account that maybe the datafile was added with size 1M and then extended 5,000 times to its current size.
It's not a useful query in this context at all
