Look in the documentation for the syntax for SELECT statements. You'll find they have a FROM part to them.
Of course if it's just a literal value you can insert it using the VALUES clause...
but of course, if you'd bothered to look in the documentation you'd have easily found your basic syntax issue.
INSERT INTO StoreEmpID( EID ) values ('00000050');
Oh, and by the way, that's a general SQL and PL/SQL question... so you're posting in the wrong forum.
