Oracle Scheduler - Which user runs the job?
Oct 24, 2012 9:05 AM
We are in the process of migrating all our old DBMS_JOBs to the Scheduler. We have one admin user who has the privilege to create any job. Let's call him "User A".
When a job is created for "User B" bu "User A" the job appears with the "User B" schema as expected. The Job Creator is set "User A".
When the job runs as a background task (i.e. by the scheduler) it runs as "User A" as a DBLINK connect fails.
Is there anyway to make the job run as the user who OWNS the job and not as the user who CREATED the job?
Thanks for your help.

Are you sure that DB link work correctly for User B ? When you don't specify connect to <username> identified by <paswword> then any job have problem with the DB link.
