the os name is solaris 11
11/11(month/year) is os assembled date
in soalris 10 they used to release like solaris 10 u1 (soalris 10 update1) ...soalris 10 u2
if they follow the same then it would be soalris 11 u1
and the assembled date woukld be differnet
The newest update to Solaris 11 is known as Solaris 11.1 (rather than Solaris 11 update 1 as you can have Solaris 11 SRU1 which is different to Solaris 11.1 SRU1)
This was announced back on Oct 3 at oracle Openworld but has not been released for download just yet.
Have a look at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/server-storage/solaris11/overview/solaris11-1-1845817.html for some details including a link to an upcoming web even for Solaris 11.1 on the 7th Nov.
Its been greatly appreciated.
The Solaris 11.1 software is available for download, here:
And it is really just called 11.1 no 11u1 or 11 10/12. at least not in /etc/release

Those are correct checksums. The Solaris 11 Download page contains a link to the file containing all the checksums:
