I have an weird problem in BCC agent creation. I have an application instance which is deployed with my custom code (PublishingAgent module has already included in EAR) and I have added this instance as BCC agent. After adding this agent I am getting below exception in BCC.In BCC the Agent status shows "Transport Uninstantiated". But I have connectivity from BCC server to agent server on RMI port. I could able to telnet the agent RMI port from BCC application.
2012-10-27 05:03:09,888 ERROR [nucleusNamespace.atg.epub.DeploymentServer] [http-tvmk8125.test.sprint.com%2F220.127.116.11-9001-5] transport error from agent 'MobileAgent1' java.rmi.ConnectException: Connection refused to host: XXXX.com; nested exception is:
* java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out*
Here XXXX.com is Agent hostname (I have mapped this for security) and MobileAgent1 is agent name in BCC. RMI port is 9061. Softwares used:
ATG9.0 + patch1 & Patch2.
Jbiss eap 4.2.0,
jdk 1.5 u16
But when I deployed OOTB EAR (with Daf.Ear and DCS.PublishingAgent modules) then it started working fine (In BCC the agent status in idle).
I a m not sure which components are giving problem for this issue. Can you please suggest which components I need to verify?
I have verified below components for all port and host configurations. I could see everything is fine.
Can you make sure RMI port is open for the given host. First thing to try is tel-netting to hosts
telnet -a YOUR_HOME 9061
If you are not able to connect contract your system admin to get this port opened for both outbound and inbound connections
If you are on windows and have admin rights you should be able to do it by yourself by changing your firewall setting
