    recieving Java Out Of memory exception frequently

      Our Sun IdM 8.1 application is hosted on tomcat(6.0) application server. The java version thats being used is java 1.5.0. The O.S used is AIX.

      The total memory used is 16 GB. The heap and native memory is tuned well and the application performance was always good, never faced outOfmemory issues and there was no chance of heapdump creation as the server is restarted twice a day, which will clear the dump files.

      The current JVM settings is:
      JAVA_OPTS="-Xms7168m -Xmx7168m -XX:PermSize=512m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m -Xlp -Xgcpolicy:optavgpause -Xdisableexplicitgc -Djava.awt.headles

      Have also made the following settings on waveset.properties file

      Inspite of making these settings, we are recieving OOM frequently. Moreover I dont use the application everytime! And sometimes the heapdumps are created on home directory, 15 mins after the server is been restarted.
      Can anyone suggest whst could have gone wrong!

      Thanks in advance!
