The log_archive_dest_n paramter will inckude tg db_unique_name.
As for the host name, you cannot determine this, which is deliberate: the idea is to have a layer of absrtaction between the logical service name (which is exposed to the primary) and the physical host name (which is not). The host name could change, the service name will be stable.
From your primary you can connect as sys to your standby and run
- select host_name from v$instance;
- select name from v$database;
This will give you the hostname of the standby database

I think, you can create db_link for reach to any DB Primary to StandBy or StandBy to Primary. So you can easily reach to what do you want about DB's. I have been using this way for our system. It easy...
