    Foundation Services server Shutdown

    873381
      Hi All,

Need your expertise to resolve an issue.
i am not able to Connect with shared services console. I get an error :

      Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
      10.4.5 404 Not Found

This error started after I configured MSAD in shared services Console and restarted services.
I was able to login to Weblogic Server Admin Console and there server corresponding to FoundationServices0 is in shutdown state, i tried starting it but it gives an error "For server FoundationServices0, the Node Manager associated with machine "server name" is not reachable. and
All of the servers selected are currently in a state which is incompatible with this operation or are not associated with a running Node Manager or you are not authorized to perform the action requested. No action will be performed.

Below is the Log of HyS9FoundationServices-sysout.log, Please let me know how i can resolve this issue.

You could try increasing the JVM max size for Foundation services, if that doesn't work you can try and remove the AD configuration, as you can't log into shared services you could use the epmsys_registry utility to export the css config file, update and then import back in.
If you don't know how to increase the JVM size have a read of http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/epm_install_1112200/ch11s01s01.html

            Cheers

              Hi John,

              1. As you advised i changed JVM size to –Xms128m –Xmx1024m, and restarted service, now Workspace and Shared services console both are showing error "Failure of server Apache Bridge".
I chekced in Weblogic Server Admin Console and now except AdminServer rest all are in shutdown state(Essbase,Planning,Analytic,RA). Checked logs for each and they are showing errors. in all logs i see "ExecuteRequest failed java.lang.OutOfMemoryError. Not sure how to proceed.

              2. I was able to export CSS config file but i am not sure what changes i need to make.

              Please advice.

              Thanks

You can remove the AD configuration from the file then import back in and hopefully Foundation should start up.

                Cheers
