Yes you need to specify any jar details in classpath if you are using Domain/ lib folder as it will include with in classpath.
Or you can place them in App-Inf / lib folder and use prefer-web-inf option with in weblogic.xml.
EAR files don't have a WEB-INF directory, at least not one it will recognize. WAR files have WEB-INF, EAR files have APP-INF.
Sorry, I meant WEB-INF\lib in the WAR file inside my EAR.
I put all the jar files in the WEB-INF\lib of the WAR file but it still does not work. I have to specify them in the classpaths and put the jar files in the domains\domain\lib directory
I thought if you put it in the WEB-INF\lib then you don't have to put them in the classpath.
Am I right?
You'd have to provide more detail on exactly why it's failing to start up, like stack traces and log messages.y
You might be conflicting with some of the classes implicitly provided by Weblogic. in that case you might have to use the "prefer-web-inf-classes" tactic.
