Network Configuration GUI on 6.2?
Nov 6, 2012 12:53 PM
Where is the old Network Configuration GUI that Oracle Linux 5 used to have? I know about the network manager, but where is the hosts tab? Now I do have to edit the /etc/hosts file? Where is the hostname set?
Thanks in advance.

The GUI to edit your hostname and the hosts table is no more.
You will need to edit /etc/sysconfig/network to change the hostname and /etc/hosts file for local resolving.
