Why is my AV Server 10.3 install avc on linux missing log files?

      Hello Audit vault guru's,

I've been trying to successfully install Audit Vault server 10.3 64-bit on vmware linux and it always failed during avca configuration due to missing files:

      OS Info:
      root@centOS1 ~]# cat /proc/version
      Linux version 2.6.32-279.el6.x86_64 (mockbuild@c6b9.bsys.dev.centos.org) (gcc version 4.4.6 20120305 (Red Hat 4.4.6-4) (GCC) ) #1 SMP Fri Jun 22 12:19:21 UTC 2012

      [root@centOS1 ~]# lsb_release -id
      Distributor ID:     CentOS
      Description:     CentOS release 6.3 (Final)

System passed all prereqs including RPM's.

First install failed with: INFO: Stderr Read: /u01/app/oracle/product/10.3.0/av_1/bin/avgenSSCert.log (No such file or directory)

Since this is a log file, I manually created the file and hit 'retry' in the install gui.
It seems to have gone past the error but it complained that my av_admin user already exists
I manually re-run cfgtoollogsFailedCommand and it would just hang
I then decided to start from beginning by reloading the vmware I saved prior to install
      Second install:
I created the missing file prior to configuration, and this time it failed on missing avCheckCert.log.
This time I decided to execute the av server deinstall tool, which works great by the way!
      Third install:
During the dbca step, created the two missing files.
This time it blew up on missing avCheckCert.log. The files I previously created are gone!
retry just repeats the process, rerunning cfgtoolFailed command just hangs
From avca. log, last few lines before it errored:
      11/02/12 08:06:53 PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

Invalid or missing Audit Vault Adminitrator Account/Password
What's the correct syntax for manually executing avca?

      At this point:
Looks like avsys objects were created
My avadmin and avaudit users were created with the correct roles
avctl start_av succeeds, so it seems like audit vault server can run
database vault does not have a realm for avsys.
I tried to install the agent anyway (on the same system in a different ORACLE_HOME) and it kept on failing because it could not connect to the server evern though server is up.

Could someone please help me overcome the missing files avgenSSCert.log and avCheckCert.log and/or the correct syntax for initialize_av ?

      Thanks for all your help.
