    Configuring OpenLDAP

    897979
I looked through the docs and it appears the Oracle Solaris 11.1 Information Library does not have info on setting up Solaris 11.1's shipped OpenLDAP implementation. Anyone know a source specific to Solaris?

      Thanks!

          I used this one:

          http://uminac.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/openldap-65774196-1.pdf

.. and spent a week on it before i realized it was to much work in my environment (which consists of Linux, Solaris 10 and Solaris 11).

After giving up on OpenLDAP i decided to go with the Oracle Directory Server, which i got up and running in hours.. :-)

One of the major problems with my attempt to setup OpenLDAP in our environment was really that i was interrupted every 15 minutes, which i suspect affected the successrate..

            Hi,
I appreciate that doc a lot. Solaris 11 has OpenLDAP so no need for the external repo but based on what yuo say, I may give the Oracle DSE route a go.

            Thanks!
