          Hi,

AFIK 'NO' If you are execute start command with BEGIN parameter you will get below error message

GGSCI > start extract etab, begin atcsn 1149793

2012-11-08 13:48:03 ERROR OGG-00012 Command line error:invalid startup syntax: BEGIN.

instead of this you can use the below options,

The following alters Extract to start processing data from today.

          ALTER EXTRACT finance, BEGIN 2012-11-08

The following alters Extract to start processing at a specific location in the trail.

ALTER EXTRACT finance, EXTSEQNO 26, EXTRBA 338

The following alters Extract in an Oracle RAC environment, and applies the new begin point only for redo thread 4.

ALTER EXTRACT accounts, THREAD 4, BEGIN 2012-11-08

OR the simplest way is , Start the replicat process at the particular csn .

          START REPLICAT <rep name>, ATCSN <scn>

          or

          START REPLICAT <rep name>, , AFTERCSN <scn>

          or

          ALTER REPLICAT <rep name> , BEGIN <timestamp>
