Currently our HRMS system holds an FTE value in the Assignments - Budgets screen and also in the Hiring Information tab against a position.
They currently hold all FTE values to 2 decimal places but have a requirement to hold it to 4 decimal places.
I'm not sure how it all hangs together but from my brief analysis I can see that against the assignment, I can put in a value to 4 decimal places and it accept it fine (will this do any harm?). However against the position, when I put in a value to 4 decimal places, when I click out the field, it rounds it to 2 decimal places.
Could someone advise on how to change this to accept 4 decimal places and if there is generally any issue in doing so?
From what I can see, both tables are capable of holding an fte value to 5d.p, so I imagine the 'rounding to 2dp' issue on the position screen is a forms thing. The question is, is it only displaying it to 2.dp or is it forcing a rounding to the data being stored - what figure do you see on the HR_ALL_POSITIONS_F table for that position?
Sorry, I can't find that profile option.
If I go into System Profiles and search for '%HR%FTE%', the only 2 options I see are:
HR: Defer Update After Approval
PSB: HRMS Budget FTE Upload Option
