Dear hyperion gurus,
I have 5 essbase applications, and sometimes when I get in to EAS and check, I see some of the application turned off (meaning they have those RED Cross mark), so I have to manually start the application.
My question is what causes the application to get turned off without us doing anything? Does it have to do with performance or do we need to do anything to fix this issue? Any light on this issue would be appreciated.
What do you suggest I do?
I mean, they work fine. Only that one or two of them, when we check in the morning seem to be off. We start them manually and then again when we check tomorrow, one or two see off.
If the essbase service restarted each night? if so the application may not be set to start automatically that is why they are not started, if this is the case and you want them starting then you can set them to start automatically from EAS.
If that is not the case then you should check the application logs to see what is happening each night.
You are a genius John. Thanks
Well, in our environment, the EPM system goes down each night and then it starts after a while (this is all automated). Looks like some of the applications do not start automatically when the EPM and EAS starts. How would you set up in EAS so that they start automatically?
