    Excluding Tables

    Jairam
      Hi everyone,

I am using Oracle 10g in windows 7 platform.I have tried to do an export by using the following command,

      expdp "'sys/password as sysdba'" directory=dpump dumpfile=expfulltest.dmp logfile=exptestlog.log full=y exclude=table:\"in (\'USER.TABLE\')\"

But the above command do not exclude the specified table in Exclude Parameter. Anybody clarify about what could be the problem in the above command?

      Regards,
      Jai

          Hi,

First you must not export with the user SYS it is document.
Second, you can add the option schema=xxx + exclude or include, try it and confirm.

Pl post exact database version (to 4 digits) and OS version (Home, Professional etc).

As noted, expdp and impdp commands should not be executed with the SYSDBA privileges - try SYSTEM user instead

See the first Note section here - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14215/dp_export.htm#sthref57

Have you tried to provide the EXCLUDE clause in a parameter file rather than on the command line ?
