user account has been tested on another machine which does allow access to web analysis and the result is the same.
So the working and non working machines,both has same java version.Check java -version in both the machines and compare the version? Also post the results here..
They are both the same yes. And yet one account can log into web analysis. The other gets the error.

Can you update the version. This is a known issue in 9x versions.
Its version 18.104.22.168
Any other ideas guys? It's proving to be a tricky one.
This problem mainly occurs because of the 'null' user.
Can you try the following :
1. Deprovision and provision back the user.
2. Delete and recreate the user.
3. Make sure that the user is able to login to workspace.
