I have RAC with
220.127.116.11.0 Database and
18.104.22.168.0 Oracle Clusterware
on Redhat Linux 6.0.
Is it possible to upgrade the database without stop the database?
I mean without loss of service?
thanks in advance.
I don't think this is possible to upgrade from 11.1 to 11.2 without downtime even with RAC.
But you can reduce a lot downtime with transient logical standby or Golden Gate: please read http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e10803/schedule_outage.htm#i1006387.
You can also try to use Streams instead of Golden Gate because Streams features are included in Entreprise Edition whereas Golden Gate is a separate product requiring additional licenses.
About Streams usage please read http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e17069/ap_strmnt.htm#STRMS165.

Check the large Workshop Presentation here - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/products/upgrade/index.html - starting with slide 243
There is a section on zero downtime upgrades - I expect you will need to involve Oracle Consulting in such an endeavor.
