have a look at the document "ORA-07445 [ptmak()+107] During PL/SQL Debug [ID 726611.1]" on Oracle Support. It has to do with debug (or upgrade your DB from 10.2.0.4 to 10.2.0.5).

When i tried to execute a function in oracle 10g ,it threw me below exception and exited.

Could you please advise on above exception. what was the root cause for this issue.Perhaps best bet is to migrate to 11.2 XE, if you can't workaround the issue e.g. change the application.
