I am not aware if this has been reconized as a bug: When I want to select the code of one procedure/function of a package body, I doubleclick the procedure/function name in the Structure Window. However,
a) the source is selected from the beginning of the procedure/function to the end of the package body instead of the procedure/function
b) the cursor ist placed at the end of the selected text instead of at the beginning.
Or am I missing something ?
When I try this, here's what I see:
* expand packages
* select package
* expand package
* expand package body
* select procedure/function under body
* package body is opened with cursor placed at the beginning of the code block for the proc/function selected above
This is in 3.2.20.09 connected to 11gR2
I first discovered the behavior on 3.2.10.09.57. I just made an update to 3.2.20.09.87, but it is the same.
I am not using the package structure from the connections navigator.
I want to see the structure of the code that is currently in the editor and that is not necessarily the same as save on the DB (when changes has been made in the editor).
Here the Structure View comes in handy (View - Data Miner - Structure), but as I mentioned, Double-Clicking a procedure name when editing a package body is a bit buggy. It works well for Package Spec's.
