    ORA-600's causing core dumps

We are getting core dumps in our Production database that causes the database to hang until it has completed dumping. We are aware of the 10736 trace name event to stop the database from dumping but then we don’t have any data for the resolution as to why we are getting ORA-600’s in the alert log. Is there a way to keep the database from hanging when this occurs and still get the dump output?

What kind of ORA-600 errors you are getting?

Please see (ORA-600/ORA-7445/ORA-700 Error Look-up Tool [ID 153788.1]).

Also, please log a SR for ORA-600 since this is happening in your production environment.

          Thanks,
          Hussein

We do have an SR open and have had it open for several months now. This is the ORA-600 and ORA-7445 information from the alert log:

            ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [12333], [7], [3], [194], [], [], [], []
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [strlen()+80] [SIGSEGV] [Address not mapped to object] [0x00000000
            4] [] []

              What is your database version?

              Have you seen these docs?

Get ORA-7445 [strlen] And "Error 46 Encountered When Initializing Ldm" In The alert.log [ID 1299911.1]
ORA-07445 With Core Dump In STRLEN [ID 468184.1]
ORA-600[12333] and ORA-7445 Errors Cause Instance Crash When DBMS_LDAP is Used [ID 733936.1]
