Hi All,

I have found a really good blog on how to generate catalog reports from command line from the below blog.

http://www.rittmanmead.com/2010/06/oracle-bi-ee-10-1-3-4-1-catalog-manager-command-line-options/

when i try the above it was not working for me. I am getting " 'catalogmanager' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."

can anyone please let me know which folder do i need to be in to run the above commands. I am using OBIEE 11G.

Thanks,
Neeraj

    Hi,

    The path is MWHOME\instances\instance1\bifoundation\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\catalogmanager\runcat.cmd

    The command below will give you a report in excel format

    runcat -cmd report -offline C:\middleware1\instances\instance1\bifoundation\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\catalog\SampleAppLite -outputFile c:\report.xls -excelFormat -delimiter " " -type "Analysis" "Column" "Table"

    You can run runcat -cmd report -help to see more options.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    You have to give the credentials in a file.

    Create a text file called catmancredentials.properties

    content of the file will be

    login = <Username>
    pwd = <Password>

    then run the command as below

    runcat -cmd report -online http://localhost:7002/analytics/saw.dll -credentials c:\catmancredentials.properties -outputFile c:\report.xls -excelFormat -folder "/shared/Sample Lite" -type "Analysis" "Created Time" "Last Accessed Time" "Last Modified Time" "Owner" "Description" "Folder" "Name" "Path" "Formula" "Table" "Column" "XML" "Subject Area" "SQL"

    replace the output file and catalog folder as per your requirement.

    Thanks
