      hi all,

      i am trying to configure dataguard using rman in oracle 11gr2 version on linux 5.5

      while connecting to auxiliary it is failing with following error:

      RMAN> connect auxiliary sys/oracle@stdorcl

      RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
      RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============
      RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
      RMAN-04006: error from auxiliary database: ORA-01031: insufficient privileges

      I copied password file from primary and rename to standby instance name. and when i tried with sql it's getting connecting.

      listener and tns is also working fine:

      [oracle@localhost ~]$ lsnrctl status |grep stdorcl
      Service "stdorcl" has 1 instance(s).
      Instance "stdorcl", status BLOCKED, has 1 handler(s) for this service...
      Service "stdorcl.taurus.com" has 1 instance(s).
      Instance "stdorcl.taurus.com", status UNKNOWN, has 1 handler(s) for this service...
      [oracle@localhost ~]$ tnsping stdorcl
