It does not matter, however I would suggest you use the same database name (i.e. ebsdev).

It is not certified. Moreover, you cannot install R12 directly on Windows 64-bit OS (you need to install it on 32-bit then migrate to 64-bit).

    Hi,

I am doing post migration and following MOS(Oracle EBS R12 with Database Tier Only Platform on Oracle Database 11.2.0 [ID 456347.1])

i need some clarifications from section 4

    1)native compilation

can i still go ahead with windows platforms as well,in document mentioned only unix/linux, i am bit confused here.

for pl/sql native compilation, i can i follow the below link..?

    http://swervedba.wordpress.com/2011/07/29/11g-plsql-native-compilation/

4)Implement and run AutoConfig on the database server node

this is new server, I am yet to confugure MT,from where i need to get the appsutil.zip as this is new database tier(64bit).?

If "plsql_code_type = INTERPRETED" please skip this step.

Follow the steps in (Using AutoConfig to Manage System Configurations in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 [ID 387859.1]), under "3.2. Enabling AutoConfig on a New Oracle Home" section.

Thanks, i started post cloning steps and while running post clone script in db tier , i got below error.

    D:\app\prod\product\11.2.0\appsutil\bin>perl adbldxml.pl

Starting context file generation for db tier..
Using JVM from D:\app\prod\product\11.2.0\jdk\jre\bin\java to execute java programs..

    ... 2 more

    D:\app\prod\product\11.2.0\appsutil\bin>

for that oracel given patch fix(11071569), i am applying patch in old prod server, after applying patch in 32bit server, i will generate appsutil.zip then i copy to 64bit server then i will start is this correct..?

and i have already copied MT 32bit server to 64bit MT server, as i applied patch now in 32bit server, do i need to again copy MT agian to 64bit.

Copy the files again if you have copied them before applying the patch. If you did apply the patch before copying the files then you are good.
