I had the same error last week. Invalid userid/pwd when I would log on as SYS as SYSDBA.
The problem for us started after the SYS password was changed
The problem had to do with orapwd file
So we have a two node RAC. The SYS password was changed via one of the nodes and not the other
To fix the problem we recreated the orapwd file on both the nodes. But thinking about it later, if REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE=EXCLUSIVE, then it should be just a matter of re-setting the password via both nodes.
so node1 had the correct pwd. but node2 had the old password. SCAN listener would direct the second login to node2
