Hi folks

Doubt about -->Netbackup and Rman Catalog:

In catalog of rman we can get the values like "tag", "media","handle" of backups done.

But, when run a restore (any operation that need a media from backup ), have a view in catalog that show this values of the backup done --> NB_ORA_CLIENT, NB_ORA_SERV,NB_ORA_POLICY,NB_ORA_SCHED, for do the SEND command?

Or this information only in the script of the backup taken?

Tks

    Hello;

    I don't believe that information is stored in the catalog.

    Source :

    Database Backup and Recovery Reference

    Summary of RMAN Recovery Catalog Views

    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/backup.112/e10643.pdf

    h3. However

    RC_RMAN_CONFIGURATION will store some of this if you configure :

    CONFIGURE CHANNEL DEVICE TYPE 'SBT_TAPE' PARMS 'ENV=(NB_ORA_CLIENT=r2n1,NB_ORA_SSERV=JUS-BACKUP01)';

    select value from  RC_RMAN_CONFIGURATION where DB_KEY= 2934055

    VALUE
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    DEVICE TYPE 'SBT_TAPE' PARMS  'ENV=(NB_ORA_CLIENT=r2n1,NB_ORA_SSERV=JUS-BACKUP01
    )'
    Best Regards

    I dont think the information is stored, but you can run a trace to see the actual programs generated by RMAN
