Thanks for your reply.
We are not having provision for golden gate. Is it possible to use any of the 11gR2 features like RMAN, impdp, traditional imp/exp??
DB - 10g RAC
OS - AIX.
New DBNo, with RMAN is not possible without downtime. (zero downtime with cross-platform is pretty hard, why you need zero downtime????)
DB - 11g RAC
OS - RHEL 6.2
We need to migrate Data from 10gRAC to 11gRAC without downtime.

Thanks for your time.
Zero down time is required as client don't want to have current production down impacting business. Idea is to make data migration online from DB end, change the pointers of current web,app server to new servers meanwhile take incremental backup on current production and then restore the same.
Issue is we cant take incremental backup through exp/imp. If we take through RMAN, how we will change the backup to be compatible on cross platform. You **might** be able to use expdp (data pump) - again depending on schema complexity. Bottom line is that there WILL be downtime and to expect ZERO downtime is quite unrealistic.
