We are migrating 10g oracle db on solaris to 11g on linux and we are using normal exp and imp.
We have taken export dump using exp full=y option as we require public synonyms and db links on 10g database
And now we are trying to import around 50 schmeas from that dump on 11g database.
my question is
1)can we use imp full=y option as we require public synonyms and db links and also same time we need to import only 50 schmeas from that dump
2)need to recreate tablespaces and users on target databse?
3)will other default schemas override if we give full=y option while import.

Pl post exact OS and database versions on source and target. If you use expdp instead of exp. you can use the SCHEMAS parameter in the import to limit what schemas to import.
Optionally, you can pre-create users and tablespaces if you want to change the name and sizing spcecifications on the tablespaces.
Pl elaborate on what "default schemas" you are referring to. If you perform a full export using expdp, certain seeded schemas such as CTXSYS, ORDSYS and MDSYS are not exported.
