Did you change the data type of the column in physical layer?
Thanks for your reply.
I did change the data type of the column in Physical layer.
LONGVARCHAR and length: 100000
If possible create a view in database by selecting all the columns by name and use this DBMS_LOB.SUBSTR(<Clob column>) for clob column.1 person found this helpful
ex: create view as select DBMS_LOB.SUBSTR(col1), col2 clo3 from table
Once you done with this just rename table in presentation to view name, that should work.
for the modified clob column you may set varchar2(4000) or more
Let us know your updates, if helps pls mark.
Thanks veeravalli for your suggestions. It worked!!
Can you mark as correct :)

Thanks Veera. This has helped me in getting around an issue of creating a report containing CLOB object. Had tried with the DENSE lookups but the report performance was really bad with lookups
The DBMS_LOB.SUBSTR function creates a varchar2(4000) object. Is there a way to increase the 4000 character limit since the CLOB object can be much bigger than this?
I know its already late for this post. Even I am facing this issue right now, and found the below in the Rittman Mead Consulting site. I think it would be helpful -
