I am not sure if there is any direct approach to remove the text which comes along with the prompt - "is LIKE (pattern match)" in 11G.
Thanks for your response HM.
Please let me know.
In the dashboard where the prompt is placed, go to Edit Dashboard and a Text object below the prompt. Here check the Enable HTML content option and paste the below code in the text section. Save the dashboard and view results. Now, the text would be replaced and nothing would be shown in place of "is LIKE (pattern match)"
var txt = "is LIKE (pattern match)"; //Text to Replace
var txtToReplace=""; //Text to Replace with
var elems = document.getElementsByTagName("span");
Let me know if you face any issues while implementing this. I have testing this on 126.96.36.199.0 and IE.
Hi I have put this script in text items before and after the prompt with the is like message. I have even put it as part of the prompts description.
It works for the first display of the page but its back as soon as you hit the apply button
Apologies for reviving an old post, but anyone who has this issue in the future, and the JS above is problematic, you might consider the following:
- Create a variable prompt with the column vales that you want to match
- Create a filter in the analysis criteria tab on the column, set to pick up the variable, and define the IS LIKE here.
It is effectively doing the same task as the standard prompt approach does, but in a round-a-bout way which doesn't include adding any of Oracle's text in.
