I assume you deploy to a stand-alone WLS instance. Make sure the SQL authentication provider is configures as sufficient so that the user in the SQL source is not required to successfully pass the integrated LDAP. Also you want to make the SQL authentication provider the first in the list
Is it possible to create the SQL authenticator and test the ADF security with it with the embedded Weblogic Server that comes with JDEV 18.104.22.168.0?
I believe you are speaking about Jdev 22.214.171.124 .
Yes with the Integrated WLS it would be possible to configure the SQL Authenticator as mentioned in the blogs.
I'm using JDEV 126.96.36.199.0 and deploy stand-alone WLS instance
I have successfully configured on a stand-alone WLS instance for users in DB
and also the following url: http://hazem-adf-tips.blogspot.com/2012/06/adf-security-database-authentication.html
But still no success.
Thanks and Regards

First check if your SQLAuthenticator retrieves users(and groups).
You can check this in tab Users and groups (or Utilisateurs et groupes :) ) http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-a0IbrIpX4nM/T9IL3cusiGI/AAAAAAAAAOg/H_2jve4nlb4/s1600/sqlAuthenticator_step3.png
If you see users from your db, then set SUFFICIENT to your authentication providers(both default and SQLAuthenticator) and restart WLS
I have configured and see the users and groups in the DB on the WL, but use JDEV 188.8.131.52.0 follow the url above is not logged in as a user "SQL authentication".

I have successfully followed the instructions of Frank: "Also you want to make the SQL authentication provider the first in the list"
Thank you very much
