    username problems

      ora-12560 protocol adapter error

      frequently am getting when started to login in account
      i hve used same user when i hve created at the time of installtion
      am not getting solution ..........

          Let me guess.

          1. Home computer or laptop
          2. Older and/or slow
          3. You are trying to log in as soon as it starts rather than letting it finish the full boot process

          Did I guess correctly?

          In any case it is not a username problem ... it is a network connection problem ... even if only the internal networking on your computer.

            my system is core i 5 lenova windows 7 is running on it
            i hve installed full version 0f 11g oracle in it
            installation fully completed now i am starting sql prompt it is asking for login id
            i hve entred login id which i was given at the time of installation (global database user id) and password
            now problem comes it show in error again and again
            after starting sql am not able to enter in to command promt it asking for login id i have only 1 id created but it not accepting what to do
            as soon as it started it asking for login id wich one i hve to entert in it global user id r any othere id is there to enter

              Exactly what version and edition of Oracle? (download url? version banner?)

              c:\> sqlplus / as sysdba

              SQL> select username from all_users;

              SQL> alter user hr identfied by hr account unlock;

              SQL> conn hr/hr
